as a Community Leader on kyndr, you gain access to powerful tools designed to help you create, engage, and grow your community. Here, we’ll walk you through starting your first community, show you how to set your privacy preferences, and highlight the features that keep your people connected and protected.

Title

Create a catchy and descriptive title for your community. You will also need to select a category for your community.

Community Guidelines

This is optional, but strongly recommended. Use these guidelines as a chance to set the tone for your community. You are able to remove users who do not follow these guidelines.

Image & Description

Upload a high resolution image (1:1 aspect ratio) that best represents your community. Let people know what you’re all about by adding a description in under 140 characters.

Select Privacy Level

Communities can be public, private, private with screening questions, or invite only.

What does this mean?

Public - Shows up in search, communities tab, newsfeed. Anyone can join. Trending posts appear in communities tab. Non-members are able to preview the community. Is listed on the Community Leader’s profile.

Private - Shows up in search, communities tab, newsfeed. Users must request to join. Community leader can accept/deny request. Is listed on the Community Leader’s profile.

Private with screening questions - The same settings of a private community with the added layer of questions upon requesting to join the community. The user must answer your preset questions. This gives the community leader a little more insight to the person looking to join their crew. Is listed on the Community Leader’s profile.

Invite Only - community does not show up in search or community tab. Members can only be added by unique invite link. These communities are not discoverable on the Community Leader’s profile.
